Detectives Seek Help in Identifying Burglary Suspects in Lorton

West Springfield Police District – Detectives from our Criminal Investigations Division are seeking the community’s assistance in identifying suspects connected to a burglary involving Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department equipment.

On January 29, at approximately 3:40 p.m., officers responded to the 9000 block of Furnace Road in Lorton for a reported burglary and destruction of property.  The three suspects, who appear to be juveniles, forced entry into a storage building on the property, damaging the door and accessing emergency equipment stored inside.

Officers reviewed surveillance footage and observed the three suspects break into the storage building, drive the vehicle around the property, return it, then flee the area on foot.

Fire and Rescue equipment plays a critical role in emergency response efforts. When this equipment is damaged, misused, or removed from service, it can affect first responders’ ability to respond quickly to emergencies where lives may be at risk.

Detectives obtained the security footage below, which shows the suspects involved in the burglary and property destruction.
