Detectives Seek Assistance After Attempted Armed Robbery in Springfield
Franconia Police District – Detectives from our Major Crimes Bureau are seeking the community’s help in identifying a suspect who attempted to commit an armed robbery in Springfield.
On February 23, at 7:56 p.m., officers responded to the Cricket Wireless store located at 6330 Springfield Plaza in Springfield for a robbery. The victim reported that a man entered the business armed with a firearm and attempted to steal merchandise. During the incident, the suspect attempted to restrain customers but was overpowered by the customers. The suspect fled the scene prior to officers arriving. Detectives obtained security footage which shows the suspect involved in the robbery.
