Major Hudson Bull Selected for National Real Time Crime Center Association Board
Fairfax County, VA – The Fairfax County Police Department is proud to announce that Major Hudson Bull has been appointed to the National Real Time Crime Center Association (NRTCCA) Board of Directors as its new Business Director.

Major Bull currently serves as the Commander of the Fairfax County Police Department’s Real Time Crime Center (RTCC), where he oversees a 24/7 operation that provides operational, investigative, and analytical support to officers and detectives across the County. Under his leadership, the RTCC has continued to expand its capabilities by integrating advanced technology and real-time intelligence to support public safety operations for Fairfax County’s more than one million residents.
The National Real Time Crime Center Association (NRTCCA) unites law enforcement agencies, technology experts, and public safety leaders nationwide to promote the use of real-time data and emerging technologies in policing. The association encourages collaboration, shares best practices, and supports innovation among agencies managing Real Time Crime Centers. By connecting professionals and fostering partnerships, NRTCCA helps law enforcement enhance crime analysis, adopt advanced technologies, and strengthen proactive policing strategies that improve public safety.
Major Bull joined the Fairfax County Police Department in 2013 following his distinguished service with the United States Marine Corps and the United States Secret Service. Throughout his career, he has been recognized for his leadership, innovation, and commitment to modern policing.
Under Major Bull’s leadership, the RTCC has continued to grow and strengthen its role in supporting officers and investigators across the county. The center has expanded its operations to include a dedicated 24/7 command presence, the launch of a Drone as First Responder (DFR) program, and enhanced collaboration with the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department to improve coordination during critical incidents.
Major Bull has also helped lead the continued development of technology-driven investigative tools, including license plate reader systems and the Connect Fairfax County camera registry program. These initiatives provide officers and investigators with real-time information and community-supported resources that help locate suspects, recover stolen vehicles, and locate missing persons.
In 2024, Major Bull was recognized as one of the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) “40 Under 40” award recipients, honoring law enforcement professionals who demonstrate exceptional leadership and innovation in public safety.
Major Bull’s appointment to the NRTCCA Board of Directors reflects his continued commitment to advancing technology-driven policing and strengthening collaboration among law enforcement agencies nationwide. In his role as the NRTCCA’s Business Director, he will identify and develop standards for technology used in real-time crime centers across the country.
The Fairfax County Police Department congratulates Major Bull on this appointment and looks forward to the continued impact of his leadership both locally and nationally.
