Kingstowne Man Arrested for Possession of CSAM

Fairfax County, VA – Detectives from our Major Crimes Bureau’s Child Exploitation Unit have arrested a Hayfield Secondary School Assistant Track Coach on ten counts of possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM).

Detectives from our Child Exploitation Unit began investigating Richard Huerta, 28, of Kingstowne after receiving a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) that he may be in possession of CSAM.

Through their investigation, detectives executed multiple search warrants and uncovered electronic evidence of CSAM associated with Huerta. Huerta. 

Today, Huerta was arrested at his residence in Kingstowne. He was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and charged with ten counts of possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material. He was held on no bond.

Huerta has been an Assistant Coach with Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) since August of 2025. FCPS is in the process of terminating his contract and he will not be returning to the school.
