Drug Trafficking Organization Dismantled in Massive Multi-Location Operation

Fairfax County, VA – Detectives from our Organized Crime and Intelligence Bureau executed search warrants at twenty locations across Fairfax County and Prince William County, and arrested three Woodbridge men, as part of a large-scale operation targeting a regional drug trafficking organization operating vape stores.

On March 18, detectives executed search warrants at thirteen vape stores, two storage units, one vehicle, and one warehouse in Fairfax County and three residences in Prince William County.

During the operation, detectives successfully seized one vehicle and confiscated a range of illicit substances including marijuana in various forms, such as flowers, vape cartridges, pre-rolls, and edibles, along with approximately forty pounds of suspected mushroom-infused gummies, unknown pills, and suspected prescription medications being sold without authorization. Detectives also discovered two storage units containing hundreds of pounds of marijuana, underscoring the scale of the operation.

Six additional search warrants were executed by Arlington County Police Department detectives, with assistance from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and Virginia State Police.

Through strong coordination with our local, state, and federal partners, including the Arlington County Police Department, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Virginia State Police, Prince William County Police Department, City of Manassas Police Department, City of Manassas Park Police Department, the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), the Town of Vienna Police Department, the City of Fairfax Police Department, and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Office of Criminal Investigations, detectives seized narcotics with an estimated street value of over two million dollars, along with over $500,000 in cash, underscoring the significance of this dismantling operation. Detectives also seized and froze thirty bank accounts associated with the organization holding over $100,000.

The below suspects were taken into custody during this operation.

Three Woodbridge men were taken into custody and transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.

Omar Salim, 65, was charged with Conspiracy to Distribute Marijuana and Conspiracy to Commit Money Laundering. He was later released on a $5,000 bond.

Saleh Salim, 36, was charged with Conspiracy to Distribute Marijuana and Conspiracy to Commit Money Laundering. He was later released on a $5,000 bond.

Saed Salim, 39, was charged with Conspiracy to Distribute Marijuana and Conspiracy to Commit Money Laundering. He was later released on a $50,000 bond.

•         Tobacco King – 8104A Arlington Boulevard, Merrifield

•         Tobacco King – 7640 Route 29, Merrifield

•         Tobacco King – 6649 Arlington Boulevard, Seven Corners

•         Tobacco King – 6315B Leesburg Pike, Seven Corners

•         Tobacco King – 5520 Leesburg Pike, Seven Corners

•         Tobacco King – 6127 Backlick Rd Suite D, Springfield

•         Tobacco King – 6470 Landsdowne Center Dr, Newington

•         Potomac Vape – 7201 Lockport Place, Lorton

On March 21, detectives executed an additional search warrant at the residence of Saleh Salim in Prince William County and recovered two rifles, four handguns, and other evidence.
