Off-Duty Police Officer on Administrative Leave Following Drunk in Public Arrest

Fair Oaks Police District – Last night, an off-duty Fairfax County Police Department officer was arrested on a charge of Drunk in Public in Fair Oaks.

On March 31 at approximately 6:23 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 11000 block of Route 50 in Fair Oaks for the report of an intoxicated man refusing to leave the area and acting disorderly.

Officers arrested David Schneider, 31, of Fairfax, a one-and-a-half-year veteran of the department assigned to the Mount Vernon Police District.

The officer has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of criminal and administrative investigations.
