UPDATE: New Video Released of Centreville Burglary and Indecent Exposure Suspect

Sully Police District – Detectives from our Criminal Investigations Division have released new surveillance video of the suspect connected to the London Towne burglary investigation following an attempted burglary early this morning.

Based on the newly obtained video, the suspect is now described as a Black male, approximately 6’1” to 6’3” tall with a skinny build.

Below are still photos of the suspect from the new surveillance footage:

Today at approximately 7:30 a.m., officers responded to the 14800 block of Palmerston Square in Centreville for a suspicious person report. The resident contacted police after receiving an alert from the home’s surveillance system.

Just after 5:00 a.m., video captured a fully nude male with what detectives believe to be an article of clothing on his head approaching the rear sliding glass door of the residence. The suspect looked inside the home and attempted to open the door. When the door did not open, he fled toward a nearby wooded area.

Detectives believe this suspect may be connected to the previously reported burglaries in the London Towne neighborhood.

Sully Police District- Detectives from our Criminal Investigations Division are asking for the community’s help to identify a suspect believed to be responsible for multiple burglaries in the same Centreville neighborhood, where he broke into multiple homes while fully nude.

On March 7, at approximately 4:30 a.m., officers responded to the 14700 block of Ealing Court in Centreville for a burglary in progress. The victim was awakened by her dog barking and observed a fully nude man inside her home. The suspect fled before officers arrived. Officers canvassed the area but were unable to locate the suspect. Detectives responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.

Through their investigation, detectives identified the following related incidents in the same Centreville neighborhood. In each incident, the suspect entered the home through an unsecured door.

  • March 5, 5:15 a.m. – 14800 block of Bodley Square, Centreville. The victim was getting ready for work when the suspect entered a bedroom inside the home and fled the residence when confronted.
  • March 6, 5:30 a.m. – 14800 block of Leicester Court, Centreville. A resident discovered a footprint on a trash can that had been moved against a fence and is believed to have been used to climb into the backyard. Evidence indicated an attempted burglary at the residence.
  • March 7, 4:30 a.m. – 14700 block of Ealing Court, Centreville. The victim was awakened by her dog barking and observed the male suspect, fully nude, inside the residence before he fled.
  • March 8, 3:30 a.m. – 6300 block of Paddington Lane, Centreville. The victim heard footsteps in the hallway and observed the suspect, fully nude, standing in a doorway before he fled.

Detectives believe the same suspect is responsible for all four incidents. Detectives and patrol officers are conducting targeted enforcement and investigative efforts in the area. The suspect is described as a Black male, light or medium complexion, between 5’9”-5’10”, and an average build.

Detectives are asking for the community to check their home or vehicle surveillance footage for any suspicious activity, particularly during the early morning hours between March 5 and March 8.
