A New Chapter for Franconia: Fairfax County Opens New Police Station

Fairfax County, VA- Join us on Saturday, April 11, for the grand opening of the new Franconia Police Station at 7170 Silver Lake Boulevard in Alexandria.

The day will begin with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m., followed by station tours for a few hours after the ceremony. Visitors will have the opportunity to tour the new station, meet officers, and learn more about the services we provide.

The Franconia Police District has served the community since 1973 and today covers 51 square miles, including parts of Annandale, Springfield, Lorton, and Mason Neck. The district is staffed by more than 100 sworn officers, along with professional staff, auxiliary officers, and volunteers who support a wide range of public safety and community outreach efforts.

The new Franconia Police Station is part of the newly built Franconia Governmental Center complex, which also includes Supervisor Rodney Lusk’s office, the Kingstowne Regional Library, the Franconia Museum, and Neighborhood and Community Services (NCS) programs that support residents of all ages. The 90,000-square-foot facility was built in a more centralized location to enhance service and accessibility for the community.

We look forward to welcoming residents, families, and visitors as we celebrate this exciting milestone and continue strengthening our connection with the Franconia community.
