Detectives Investigate Fatal Motorcycle Crash in Braddock
Fair Oaks Police District – Detectives from our Crash Reconstruction Unit (CRU) are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred yesterday afternoon.
On May 19, at 1:51 p.m., officers responded to a two-vehicle crash in the 12800 block of Route 29 in Braddock.
Preliminarily, detectives determined that Mikhail Perry, 22, of Fairfax, was traveling northbound on Route 29 on a 2005 Ducati motorcycle. The driver of a 2016 Mack Semi Truck was southbound on Route 29 attempting to make a U-turn when it was struck by the Ducati motorcycle. Perry was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. Preliminarily, detectives believe speed was a factor in the crash for the motorcyclist.
