Fairfax County, VA – Throughout the year, the Fairfax County Police Department participates in a variety of community events and meetings designed to bring residents and officers together. From Coffee with a Cop to neighborhood meetings and outreach programs, these opportunities help foster communication, strengthen partnerships, and keep the community informed.

Explore a Future in Law Enforcement This Summer!
The Fairfax County Police Department is excited to offer a variety of free summer programs designed to give young adults and teens an inside look at the world of law enforcement.
Teen Police Academy (Rising 10th–12th Graders)
July 13–17 | 9 a.m.–3 p.m.
Students will experience patrol operations, crime scene investigations, SWAT demonstrations, and other specialized police units while learning about careers in law enforcement. Deadline: June 29
Future Women Leaders in Law Enforcement (Rising 10th–12th Grade Girls)
July 27–31 | 9 a.m.–3 p.m.
Designed for high school-aged girls throughout Northern Virginia, this program focuses on leadership development, aviation, patrol operations, and networking with women leaders from across the Fairfax County Police Department. Deadline: July 13
All programs are held at the Fairfax County Public Safety Headquarters in Fairfax and are offered free of charge.
