Fairfax County, VA – Detectives from our Criminal Investigations Division (CID) have charged four suspects in connection with a series of burglaries, across Fairfax County, targeting victims whose homes were unoccupied due to fire damage.

On November 11, 2025, officers responded to the 1500 block of Shellbark Place in Reston for a report of a burglary at a residence that had previously sustained fire damage. Upon returning to the home, family members discovered that someone had entered the residence and damaged their gun safe. Nothing was determined to be stolen. On November 23, 2025, the same suspects would return to steal the gun safe and a Porsche Macan, from the driveway, which was later located in Maryland.

Between November 2025 and July 2026, three additional burglaries were reported with similar circumstances. Five burglaries in total, involving four different residences, occurred across the Reston, Fair Oaks, and West Springfield districts.
