Dog Dies after Being Left Inside Hot Car

Mason Police District – On Monday, July 25, police and fire personnel responded to the PetSmart located at 6100 Arlington Boulevard, around 12:23 p.m. for a report of a dog locked inside of a vehicle. Firefighters arrived and immediately determined that the dog was in distress. They entered the vehicle and attempted to cool the dog down but were unsuccessful.

Missing Swimmer at Lake Barcroft

On Thursday, July 14, police responded to the 6400 block of Lakeview Drive, around 7:31 p.m. for a report of a 16-year-old boy who was swimming at Lake Barcroft and disappeared from the water’s surface.
