Springfield Woman Struck and Killed by Train

Officers and detectives responded to the 9500 block of Burke Road on Monday, May 16, for the report of a pedestrian struck by a train at approximately 9:38 p.m. The preliminary investigation determined that three friends were walking along the tracks when one was struck. Police Investigate Pedestrian Fatal, Hit and Run Crash in Burke Area

Police responded to a report of a pedestrian struck in the area of Capella Avenue and Shiplett Boulevard on Thursday, May 12. An investigation determined a 33-year-old man was sitting on a curb in the 6100 block of Shiplett Boulevard, in Burke, just before 9 p.m. and for unknown reasons, got up and stumbled into the eastbound lane of Shiplett Boulevard.
