Officers of the Mount Vernon Neighborhood Patrol Unit were in the area of Lockheed Boulevard and Richmond Highway around 11 p.m. on February 26 checking on leads to locate the wanted suspect in the recent burglary and sex assault. Read moreAt around 3 a.m on Saturday, February 20, officers responded to a home in the 8400 block of Blankenship Street for the report of a burglary and assault. A 51-year-old woman was awakened by an unknown male intruder. The suspect threatened and sexually assaulted the victim and then fled. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
