Teen Shot in Fairfax Home
Detectives are investigating the shooting of a 17-year-old male in his home in the 4400 block of Holly Avenue on Tuesday, May 19.
Police responded to the home for a report of gunshots heard by neighbors at around 5:40 p.m. Two teens were visiting the home, an altercation ensued, and one of the visitors fired a handgun. The victim was struck and transported to the hospital for a non-life threatening wound.
Initially, police issued a lookout for a white 2004 white Honda Civic. Later, suspects were identified. The investigation revealed that the suspect and victims knew each other but did not discuss the motive for the incident.
Detectives charged one of the suspects, a 17-year-old Manassas male, with malicious wounding and use of a firearm in commission of a felony. He is in police custody. There are no outstanding suspects.
The investigation is continuing and additional charges may be placed.
