Join Sully District Station tonight at 7:30 p.m. for their monthly community engagement meeting. The meeting is held at 4900 Stonecroft Blvd. in Chantilly and members of the Firearms Safety Training Unit will be on hand to discuss safety and security of weapons.

Join us as we host a three-hour forum on Saturday, October 15, from 10 am – 1 p.m. at the George Mason Regional Library, located at 7001 Little River Turnpike in Annandale. Attendees will be presented with an overview of the Fairfax County Police Department and will have the opportunity to gain insight into police policies and procedures. Other topics that will be covered are use of force, what to expect during traffic stops, and the everyday challenges officers face.

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY: Flamborough Road and Malton Court, 10/11/16, 2:41 p.m. The victim contacted police and reported that around midnight he was approached by two unknown men who attempted to rob him. The victim was assaulted by the two men but no property was taken. The two men fled the area and the victim was unable to provide a description.

ROBBERY: 3300 block of Glen Carlyn Drive, 10/12/16, 12:09 a.m. An ambulance had responded for a man complaining of pain. Police were contacted when he informed medics that someone took cash and assaulted him. The victim was unable to provide a location where he was robbed or a description of the subjects. The victim was transported to a local hospital for his injuries.

STOLEN VEHICLES:
2700 block of Centerboro Drive, 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee
MALTREAT ANIMAL: 14200 block of Saint Germain Drive, 10/11/16, 3:25 p.m. A woman witnessed an older model white work van stop near the location, push a dog out of the van and drive off. The woman was able to get the dog into her vehicle, and transport it to the Fairfax County Animal Shelter. There is no further description of the van.
