BURGLARY: 6100 Stone Road. 6/4/17, 7:34 p.m. School security reported that someone broke a window and entered a trailer on the grounds of London Town Elementary School. Nothing appeared to have been taken and there is no suspect information.

ROBBERY: 7200 block of Arlington Boulevard. 6/3/17, 1:40 a.m. The victim is a tow truck driver. He called to report that he had just “hooked up” a car and was in the process of securing it when four or five men came out of a local bar and accused him of damaging the car. They assaulted him, took his cell phone and then ran away. The victim did not require medical attention. The only description of the suspects was that they all were believed to be Hispanic. Fairfax 1 and K9 assisted in the search for the suspects.
ROBBERY (CARJACKING): 8100 block of Leesburg Pike. 6/4/17, 10:08 p.m. The victim is an UBER driver. He was parked in a rear parking lot at the above address waiting for his next dispatch. An unknown man walked up to the driver’s door and demanded money. The victim told the suspect that he had no money. The suspect then displayed a handgun and ordered the victim out of his car. The victim got out and the suspect drove away in the victim’s silver 2012 Nissan Versa. The victim was not injured. The suspect was described as Hispanic, around 5 feet 7 inches tall and about 210 pounds. He was wearing a mask.

BURGLARY: 7800 block of Freehollow Drive. 6/2/17, 4:05 p.m. Caller reported that a home belonging to a family member had been broken into and ransacked. It is unknown at this time if anything was taken. There is no suspect description.

COMMERCIAL ARMED ROBBERY: 2400 block of Centerville Road (GNC Store). 6/3/17, 12:11 p.m. A man entered the store, approached an employee, displayed a knife and demanded money. The employee handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect left the store and rode away on a bicycle. Fairfax 1 and K9 assisted in the search for the suspect. He was described as white, around 5 feet 11 inches tall, with a slim build. He was wearing a red hat and khaki pants. The victim was not injured.
BURGLARY WITH APPREHENSION: 2000 block of Beacon Place. 6/3/17, 2:01 a.m. The homeowner called 911 when he heard someone in his garage. Officers arrived and found the suspect in a neighbor’s car. The suspect ran to his car with officers close behind. They caught up to him as he got to his car. They arrested him and found evidence in his car. 19-year-old Daniel Fleischer of Reston, was taken to the Adult Detention Center and charged with burglary, destruction of property possession of marijuana and drunk in public.

ROBBERY: Morning View Lane and View Lane. 6/3/17, 4:12 p.m. A 14-year-old boy was riding his hoverboard on the sidewalk when he realized that he was being followed by two men. One of the men yelled to him; asking to ride the hoverboard. The boy ignored them and a short time later he was struck from behind, causing him to fall off the hoverboard and lose his glasses. The suspects grabbed the hoverboard and ran away. They were last seen getting into an older, tan, four-door sedan. The victim did not request medical attention. The suspects were described as black, 18-22 years old and around 180 pounds. They both had puffy hair and loose curls. One was wearing a white shirt.
BUIRGLARY: 6100 block of Hibbling Avenue. 6/4/17, 7:11 a.m. A homeowner reported that someone broke into his home and took cell phones. The family was asleep in the house at the time of the break-in. There is no suspect information.

ROBBERY WITH APPREHENSION: 12777 Fair Lakes Circle (Fair Lakes Hyatt). 6/2/17, 5:18 p.m. A man made arrangements on line to meet a female for a “casual encounter.” When he arrived at the hotel, he entered a dark room and was confronted by a man who took his cell phone. The suspect then led the victim out of the room and demanded cash for the return of the phone. The victim handed over an undisclosed amount of cash but the suspect did not return the phone. A fight then ensued between the two men. The suspect eventually threw the phone down and ran away, down a stairwell. Officers located the suspect who was positively identified as 24-year-old Damani Azikewe of Baltimore, Maryland. Azikewe was taken to the Adult Detention Center and charged with grand larceny. The victim was not injured.

A sobriety checkpoint was conducted at Franconia Springfield parkway and Walker Lane from 10:30 Friday night until 1:30 Saturday morning.793 vehicles passed through the checkpoint. 18 drivers were detained for further investigation.
