Motor Carrier Safety officers conducted Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) enforcement alongside their partners from U.S. Park Police yesterday. Twenty-six trucks were stopped, 118 safety violations were noted, and 12 trucks were placed out of service. One driver was placed out of service and a total of nine summonses were issued.

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY: 2400 block of Merrybrook Drive, 4/24/18, around 4 p.m. The victim was walking when he was approached by two black men, who asked about his shoes. The victim ignored the men and continued to walk away when one of the suspects knocked him to the ground. The suspects assaulted the victim and tried to take his shoes but were unsuccessful. The victim sustained minor injuries. The suspects are described as black men, one about 5’8”, 135 pounds wearing a white shirt and jeans. There is no description of the second suspect.
