MCLEAN DISTRICT STATION

DISORDERLY CONDUCT/SOLICITING/CARRYING CONCEALED WEAPON (WITHOUT PERMIT)/ARREST:  2600 block of Prosperity Avenue, 4/30/18 around 5:10 p.m. Officers responded to a call for a man going business to business soliciting for money and acting disorderly. Officers stopped a man in the area who matched the description. A consent search of his belongings revealed a concealed weapon, and he did not have a permit. When the weapon was discovered, the man took off. Officers saturated the area along with K9 units and our helicopter, Fairfax 1. The suspect was located in a nearby parking garage and was taken into custody without incident. Enoch Russell, 18, of Washington, D.C., was charged with providing false ID to a law enforcement officer, carrying a concealed weapon, obstruction of justice, possession of marijuana, and soliciting without a license. A preliminary investigation revealed the gun found in his bag had previously been reported stolen. Other charges are possible. Great teamwork by officers and units on scene, and a big thanks to all the witnesses who helped them find the suspect.
