SHOOTING INTO AN OCCUPIED DWELLING: 7800 block of Shepherd Hills Court, 5/10/19, 10:00 p.m. A man was lying in bed when several shots were fired into his home. One of the bullets hit the man in the upper body causing injuries that were not considered life threatening. Detectives are following up on leads.
BURGLARY OF AN OCCUPPIED DWELLING: 6600 block of Thorpe Terrace, 05/11/19, 12:41 a.m. Residents found a man who was wearing a mask taking several purses from inside the home. Once confronted, the man ran away with the purses. The man is described as medium build, wearing a black sweater, black hat and gray jogging pants.

BURGLARY OF AN OCCUPIED DWELLING: 7400 block of Ridge Oak Court, 5/10/19, 10:36 p.m. Someone entered a residence, but was scared off by the homeowner. Nothing appears to have been taken.
BURGLARY OF AN OCCUPPIED DWELLING: 9600 block of Staysail Court, 05/10/19, 3:00 p.m. A resident heard noises in the lower level of their home and encountered an unknown man in an upstairs bedroom. The man ran away when confronted by the homeowner. Responding officers located Solomon Reed, 23, of Burke, who was arrested and charged with burglary, driving on a suspended driver’s license and served with an outstanding warrant for failure to appear. 
BURGLARY/STOLEN AUTO: 8200 block of Pasquel Flower Place, 5/11/19, 6:50 a.m. Someone entered a residence, took two sets of car keys and stole a 2001 Mercedes Benz SLK320 and a 2015 Honda Civic.

PURSUIT/DUI: 11000 block of Lee Jackson Memorial Highway, 5/11/19, 2:23 a.m. Fairfax City was in pursuit of a Toyota Prius that was reported to be driving recklessly. As the car entered our jurisdiction, our officers became involved in the pursuit. An officer successfully deployed spike strips which disabled the car. Melissa Ray, 33, of Fairfax, was arrested for DWI.
