BURGLARY: 2900 block of Willston Place, 6/7/19, 2:00 p.m. Someone entered an apartment and took personal items.
POSSESSION OF NARCOTICS/POSSESSION OF FIREARM: 6300 block of Little River Turnpike, 6/8/19, 8:43 p.m. An officer made a traffic stop for an equipment violation. The car smelled of marijuana and a search of the car revealed marijuana and a shotgun. PCP was found on the passenger of the car. Craig Knight (no photo), 26, of Alexandria, was charged with possession of marijuana and driving on a suspended license. Terrance Smith, 38, of Dumfries, was charged with possession of a schedule I narcotic, possession of a schedule I narcotic while in possession of a firearm, convicted felon in possession of a firearm, resisting arrest, possession of marijuana and public intoxication.

LARCENY: 6000 Vista Drive, 6/8/19, 12:15 a.m. Officers were patrolling the Culmore Community when a group of four teens ran past them carrying pizza boxes and sodas. Due to recent robberies in the area, the officers believed the teens may have just been involved in a crime. After a short chase, one of the teenagers was apprehended. When the teenager was searched, a slingshot was found concealed on him. A short distance away, a pizza delivery driver was found and said he delivered food to the group of teens and they ran away without paying. The teen that was arrested was charged with larceny, possession of a concealed weapon and possession of tobacco by a minor.

Warrant Service/Foot Pursuit: 6600 block of Springfield Mall, 6/8/19, 9:32 p.m. Officers patrolling the area saw two men sitting on the back of a car. The men smelled of marijuana and were asked for their identification. Both provided false names and then attempted to run away. Officers were able to arrest both Jamar Wiggins and Devonte Brooks, both 24 and from Washington D.C. Wiggins was charged with identity fraud and preventing law enforcement from making arrest. He also had an outstanding warrant for burglary from Washington D.C. Brooks was charged with resisting arrest without force and identity fraud. He also had outstanding warrants from Washington D.C. for burglary and possession of weapons.

LARCENY: 9300 block of Kite Street, 6/7/19, 12:53 a.m. Someone saw a man entering multiple parked cars in the neighborhood. Police found Shane Eberly, 25, of Maryland, nearby in possession of stolen property from four cars. He was arrested and charged with two counts of petit larceny, entering a vehicle and theft of credit card.
