BURGLARY:  8900 block of Lynnhurst Drive, 12/03/19, 5:50 a.m. Someone broke into a home overnight and stole personal property.

BURGLARY: 4000 block of Thornton Street, 12/03/19, 12:30 am. Someone entered a home and stole personal items. The suspect was described as 6’ and heavy set.

RESTON DISTRICT STATION

Felony Hit and Run: Reston Parkway/Stevenage Road, 12/4/19, 12:12 a.m. The suspect, driving a black 2016 Honda Fit, was travelling northbound on Reston Parkway when he crossed over into the southbound lanes and hit a black 2003 Toyota Corolla. He continued a short distance before stopping his car and then ran from the scene. Officers located him a short time later and a foot pursuit followed. The suspect was found with the assistance of our helicopter and police K9. The suspect was combative, refused to comply with the officer’s commands and was bitten by the police K9. He was taken to a local hospital due to the dog bite and for injuries that were not life threatening. Charges are pending.

BURGLARY: 5800 block of Royal Ridge Drive, 12/03/19, 5:32 p.m. Someone broke into a home during the daytime and stole personal property.
