COMMERCIAL ROBBERY: 1500 Cornerside Boulevard (Walmart), 4/5/20, 7:45 p.m. An employee confronted a man concealing merchandise who he recognized from previous thefts. The man assaulted the employee and ran from the store with the stolen merchandise. The victim received a minor injury. The suspect, identified as Brandon Parker, 36, of Washington D.C., was arrested a short distance away and charged with robbery. Parker was held without bond.

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY: Washington and Old Dominion Trail over Fairfax County Parkway, 4/3/20, 3:27 p.m. The victim was riding his bicycle on the Washington and Old Dominion Trail when a man approached from behind and grabbed the rear of the bicycle. A struggle ensued over the bicycle and the man ran away after the victim called out for help. The victim received minor injuries in the scuffle. The suspect, identified as Stephen Rogata, 23, of Great Falls, was located nearby and charged with attempted robbery and misdemeanor destruction of property. Rogata was held without bond.

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY: 7700 block of Gunston Plaza, 4/4/20, 4:12 p.m. The victim arranged to meet a man to sell a pair of shoes. The man displayed a gun and assaulted the victim. The victim managed to get away and the man ran from the area. The victim received minor injuries. The suspect was described as a 20-30 year old black man wearing dark clothing.

BURGLARY OF AN OCCUPIED DWELLING: 4900 block of Americana Drive, 4/5/20, 3:24 a.m. A male broke into a home and was seen by the victim taking property from inside. The victim confronted the suspect who ran away with the property. The suspect was described as a black male in his late teens wearing dark clothing.

COMMERCIAL ROBBERY: 9511 Blake Lane (7-Eleven), 4/5/20, 8:07 p.m. Two men entered the store, walked behind the counter and demanded cash from the register. The men took the cash and ran from the store. The suspects were described as a white man and a black man.
