SULLY DISTRICT STATION

MALICIOUS WOUNDING:  14200 block of Lotus Lane, 8/4/20, 8:48 p.m. Officers responded to the area for a fight and discovered a man had been assaulted. The victim was taken to a hospital for injuries that were not life threatening. Sebastian Cruz Cobo, 19, of Centreville, was taken into custody and charged with malicious wounding.

MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

VEHICLE PURSUIT/STOLEN VEHICLE: 1600 block of Belle View Boulevard, 8/5/20, 10:12 p.m. Officers attempted to stop a 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser reported to be stolen and the driver refused to stop resulting in a pursuit. Officers discontinued the pursuit and the driver was soon taken into custody by a neighboring jurisdiction. Charges are pending.

MASON DISTRICT STATION

RECKLESS DISCHARGE/DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: 4200 block of Wadsworth Court, 8/5/20, 12:29 p.m. Officers responded for a report of a gunshot and found a bullet hole in the exterior of an apartment complex. Two males were seen running from an apartment building and left in a gray car. There were no injuries reported.

RESTON DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY:  2100 block of Oram Place, 7/31/20, 6:14 p.m. A man and woman were walking near their home when a group of teens approached them. One teen displayed a handgun and took personal property from the victims. The suspects then ran away. The victims were not injured.

RECKLESS DISCHARGE/DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: 1700 block of Torrey Pines Court, 8/3/20, 8:57 a.m. Officers responded for a destruction of property report and found several bullet holes in the exterior of a home. There were no injuries reported.

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY:  6100 block of Backlick Road, 8/2/20, 1:30 a.m. A man approached the victim while he was walking in the area. The man pushed the victim, took his personal property and ran away. The victim was not injured.

VEHICLE PURSUIT/STOLEN VEHICLE: Amherst Avenue/Cumberland Avenue, 8/4/20, 2:12 a.m. Officers attempted to stop the driver of a stolen Isuzu SUV. The driver refused to stop resulting in a pursuit. Edwin A. Solarzano Saravia, 28, of Annandale, was arrested and charged with grand larceny, driving while intoxicated, driving without a license and speed to elude.

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION

No significant events reported

FAIR OAKS DISTRICT STATION

RECKLESS DISCHARGE:  2900 block of Bleeker Street, 8/1/20, 5:45 p.m. Officers were called after a man accidentally shot himself while cleaning a firearm. He was taken to a hospital for injuries that were not life threatening. The case remains active.
