Homicide Investigation Underway After Man Found Deceased in Reston

SULLY DISTRICT STATION 

ROBBERY: 5900 block of Fort Drive, 5/30/22, 12:15 a.m. The victim arranged to purchase merchandise through an acquaintance near the listed location. The victim was met by two men and a woman. The woman displayed a firearm, and the group took money. No injuries reported. 

MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION  

COMMERCIAL ROBBERY: 2305 Huntington Avenue (7-Eleven), 5/27/22, 5:52 p.m. A man entered the business, implied he had a weapon, and took merchandise. No injuries were reported. 

COMMERCIAL ROBBERY: 6750 Richmond Highway (Lowes), 5/29/22, 1:02 p.m. Two men took merchandise without paying. When confronted by store employees, one of the men displayed a knife and both left the store. No injuries were reported.  

MCLEAN DISTRICT STATION  

MALICIOUS WOUNDING: 7200 block of Arlington Boulevard, 5/29/22, 6:14 p.m. A 26-year-old man and the victim got into an argument. The man assaulted the victim and left the area. The victim was treated for injuries that were not considered life threatening. Through the officer’s investigation, they identified the suspect and obtained a warrant for malicious wounding. The man was arrested two days later.  

CARJACKING: 1900 block of Chain Bridge Road, 6/1/22, 5:01 p.m. The victim was sitting in his BMW M4 when two men approached. One man displayed a firearm, demanded his keys and took the BMW. No Injuries were reported.  

COMMERCIAL ROBBERY: 2050 International Drive (Saks Fifth Avenue), 6/2/22, 2:50 p.m. A 27-year-old Alexandria man took merchandise without paying. When confronted by a store employee, the man assaulted the victim and ran from the area. Officers found the man nearby and arrested him for grand larceny, assault and battery and trespassing. No injuries were reported.  

MASON DISTRICT STATION  

ASSAULT BY MOB: 6000 block of Leesburg Pike, 5/27/22, 8:50 p.m. Seven men assaulted the victim and left the area. The victim was treated for injuries that were not considered life threatening. Preliminary, this does not appear to be a random act. 

RESTON DISTRICT STATION  

ASSAULT BY MOB: Parcher Avenue and Frear Place, 5/29/22, 11:53 p.m. Three men assaulted the victim and left the area. Preliminary, this does not appear to be a random act. No injuries were reported. 

WEAPON BRANDISHING: 11900 block of Market Street, 5/31/22, 1:29 p.m. Ten juveniles were advised by security that smoking was not allowed in front of the business.  The group surrounded the security guard, and one juvenile displayed a handgun. The group ran from the area and officers located the juvenile nearby with a replica style Glock BB gun. Petitions will be sought. No injuries were reported.     

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION  

HOME INVASION ROBBERY: 7800 block of Lewis Chapel Circle, 5/27/22, 5:15 p.m. Two juveniles forced their way into the victim’s residence, displayed a handgun, and took property. This does not appear to be a random act. No injuries were reported. 

STOLEN AUTO WITH APPREHENSION: I-495 at Telegraph Road, 5/27/22, 5:42 p.m. An officer located a tractor trailer reported stolen from Florida on I-495. The 47-year-old driver was arrested for failure to return rental property. 

COMMERCIAL ROBBERY: 6575 Frontier Drive (Ulta Beauty), 5/27/22, 9:02 p.m. Two men took merchandise without paying. When confronted by store employees, one of the men displayed a firearm and both left the store. No injuries were reported.  

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 6125D Backlick Road, 5/27/22, 10 p.m. Someone forced entry into the business, damaged property, and took money. 

COMMERCIAL ROBBERY: 5870 Kingstowne Center (Giant), 5/31/22, 10:40 a.m.  A 23-year-old man took money from the register while implying he had a weapon. He ran from the scene and officers quickly located the suspect nearby and arrested him for robbery.  No injuries were reported. 

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 9020 Lorton Station Boulevard (Casa Tequila), 6/2/22, 5:45 a.m. A man forced entry into the business, damaged property, and attempted to take money. 

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION 

ROBBERY: 5600 block of Burke Centre Parkway, 5/27/22, 11:10 p.m. Two men parked their 2006 Toyota 4Runner next to the victim while he was sitting in his 2012 Volkswagon Passat. The two men entered the victim’s vehicle, brandished a handgun, assaulted him, and took property. The two men left the area in their Toyota 4Runner. An officer quickly located the vehicle nearby. In an attempt to get away, the suspect vehicle crashed. One 32-year-old man was arrested for armed robbery, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, and malicious wounding. 

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 7863 Heritage Drive (Kumkang Delicioso), 5/28/22, 1:50 a.m. A man forced entry into the business, damaged property, and took money. 

ROBBERY: 4700 block of Americana Drive, 5/29/22, 12:16 a.m. Four men chased the victim, displayed a machete, assaulted him, and took property. No injuries were reported.
