Teenagers Responsible for Burglary and Stolen Cars

Franconia Police District – Four Lorton teenagers have been arrested for the May 21 Smoke Bazaar burglary.

Around 12:40 a.m., officers responded to 6715 Backlick Road in Springfield after a stolen 2013 silver Hyundai Elantra drove through the storefront. The four teens entered the business, stole merchandise, and left the area in a stolen 2019 black Hyundai Elantra. The suspects were described as black males, 15 to 20 years of age wearing black face masks with one wearing a green jacket. Click HERE to watch video footage of the burglary.

The stolen 2019 Hyundai Elantra was found later that morning in the 9200 hundred block of Wildewood Street. Officers contacted the owner of the car and discovered additional property was stolen. Through their investigation, AirPods were tracked to a nearby apartment. Officers and detectives identified a 15 and 16-year-old inside and located the stolen AirPods as well as stolen property from the burglary.

Through detectives’ investigation, another 15 and 16-year-old were identified. The teenagers have all been charged with burglary, grand larceny, petit larceny, and destruction related to the Smoke Bazaar business. 

Detectives determined two of the suspects were connected to two additional commercial burglaries. A 15 and 16-year-old were charged with three counts of grand larceny and 2 counts of burglary.
