Two Men Arrested After Brandishing at Elementary School in Hybla Valley
Mount Vernon Police District- Detectives from our Criminal Investigations Division have arrested two men responsible for brandishing a handgun at an elementary school yesterday afternoon.
On February 27 at 2:53 p.m., officers responded to Mount Vernon Woods Elementary School in Hybla Valley for the report of a brandishing. Several students reported seeing two men on the school’s property and one of the suspects displayed a handgun. Both men fled prior to officers’ arrival. There were no injuries reported and detectives responded to assume the investigation.
Officers worked with school officials to secure the building and ensure students were safely dismissed. Officers searched the area and located two suspects matching the description.

Kevin Alexis Aleman, 18, of Alexandria, was arrested and charged with Trespassing on School Property, Brandishing, Possession of a Firearm on School Property, and served an outstanding warrant for Petit Larceny. He was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and held on no bond.

Dominic Rivera-Villanueva, 18, of no fixed address, was arrested for Trespassing on School Property, Destruction of Property, and served an outstanding warrant for Petit Larceny. He was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and held on no bond.
