Detectives Seek Help to Identify Burglary Suspects
McLean Police District– Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division are seeking the community’s assistance in identifying three suspects connected to two burglaries in McLean.
On May 15, at 5:15 p.m., officers responded to the 6500 block of Ivy Hill Drive in McLean for a burglary report. The complainant reported that unknown suspects forced entry into their home and stole valuables before leaving the scene. Detectives responded to assume the investigation and determined the burglary occurred around 3 p.m.
The same day, homeowners returned in the evening to their residence in the 2000 block of Powhatan Street in McLean and discovered an attempted burglary. Around 3:15 p.m., the suspects knocked on the front door for several minutes before attempting to gain entry through the rear window but were unsuccessful. Detectives believe the two incidents are related and have obtained the security footage below which shows the three suspects involved in the burglaries.
