Arlington Man Arrested Following Assaults in Two Hotels

Mason Police District – Detectives from our Major Crimes Bureau have arrested an Arlington man after two separate hotel assaults that occurred in Sleepy Hollow and Springfield.  

On July 21, at 4:00 a.m., officers responded to a burglary in the 6600 block of Arlington Boulevard near Sleepy Hollow. The victim reported that she awoke to an unknown suspect in her hotel room exposing himself. The victim screamed and the suspect ran away. Detectives responded and assumed the investigation.

Through their investigation, detectives identified the suspect as Eric Isler, 25, of Arlington and obtained warrants for Burglary with Intent to Commit Sexual Assault and Aggravated Sexual Battery.

Shortly after midnight on July 22, officers responded to the 6500 block of Loisdale Court in Springfield for an assault case. The victim reported that an unknown man forced his way into his hotel room, assaulted him, and stole items. Officers canvassed the area and located a suspect nearby matching the description. The suspect was identified as Isler and taken into custody.

Isler was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and charged with Robbery. He was also served the outstanding warrants for Burglary with Intent to Commit Sexual Assault and Aggravated Sexual Battery. He is being held on no bond.
