Detectives Investigate Fatal Pedestrian Crash Near Woodlawn

Mount Vernon Police District – Detectives from our Crash Reconstruction Unit (CRU) are investigating a fatal pedestrian crash near Woodlawn. On April 3 at 10:20 p.m., officers responded to a crash involving a pedestrian at the intersection of Richmond Highway and Pohick Road near Woodlawn. Officers determined that the driver of a Toyota Tacoma was traveling northbound on Richmond Highway.

Off-Duty Police Officer on Administrative Leave Following Drunk in Public Arrest

Fair Oaks Police District – Last night, an off-duty Fairfax County Police Department officer was arrested on a charge of Drunk in Public in Fair Oaks. On March 31 at approximately 6:23 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 11000 block of Route 50 in Fair Oaks for the report of an intoxicated man refusing to leave the area and acting disorderly.
