Man Shot After Attempting to Force Entry into Home

Mason Police District – Detectives from our Major Crimes Bureau are investigating a residential shooting that left a man hospitalized after he attempted to force entry into a home near Lake Barcroft. On January 15, at 2:27 a.m., officers responded to a 9-1-1 call from a homeowner in the 6400 block of Oakwood Drive near Lake Barcroft for a suspicious person.

Man Arrested After Burglarizing Business

Mason Police District – Detectives from our Criminal Investigations Division have arrested a man after he burglarized a local business in Mantua. On January 13, at 7:12 a.m., officers responded to the 9400 block of Mathy Drive in Mantua for a commercial burglary report. The victim reported that the business was burglarized on January 12 and provided surveillance footage of the event.
